After earning her degree in nutrition and building a career in as a Registered Dietitian-Nutritionist, Suzanne Short Junered ’03 began writing fiction. Her debut psychological horror novel, Goodnight Monsters, will be published September 1, 2026 by She Writes Press and distributed through Simon & Schuster. Set in a fictionalized town eerily similar to Knoxville, the novel was inspired by the University of Tennessee’s renowned forensic anthropology research facility we all lovingly refer to as the Body Farm.
