Dr. Steven C. Smith (M.S., Sociology & Sports Studies, UT Knoxville) has built a distinguished career in higher education as a faculty leader, researcher, and Associate Assessment Director at Western Governors University. A multi-time teaching award recipient and ECMC Research Fellow, he now adds children’s book author to his accomplishments, blending culture, history, and family storytelling through his character, Chef Harley.
