You’d need a scorecard to chart Shannon Driver’s 15-year rise at Scripps Networks Interactive. Her ascent took her through six promotions to the level of senior vice president of network marketing and creative services. In this role, she directed marketing and creative services for all six of Scripps Networks Interactive’s domestic brands: HGTV, DIY, GAC, the Food Channel, the Cooking Channel, and the Travel Channel.
After graduating in 1999 from the College of Communication and Information with a degree in broadcasting and film, Driver worked as an account supervisor for three years at Edelman, a public relations firm in New York City, where she worked with clients in healthcare, financial services, and consumer goods. She joined Scripps in 2004 and, while working full time, earned her MBA from the Haslam College of Business in 2011.
Driver has been named to 40 under 40 lists by Multichannel News and the Knoxville Business Journal, and in 2015, she received the Cablefax national cable telecommunications industry Marketer of the Year Award. She also supports Knox Area Rescue Ministries and mentors up-and-coming talent in her industry.
