Mr. Samuel Furrow graduated
from the University of Tennessee
in 1963 and was commissioned
as a second lieutenant in the
Quartermaster Corps. Furrow
remained at the Quartermaster
School and served as training
officer for the Quartermaster
Officer Basic Course. He departed
active duty in October 1965.
Furrow, who graduated from the UT School of Law in 1969, has been
instrumental in starting several business entities, including automotive,
heavy equipment, auction, and real estate development, primarily in the
southeastern United States.
He has been active in multiple organizations, including the United Way,
Rotary International, Chamber of Commerce, Tennessee Auctioneer’s
Association, Leadership Knoxville, Zoo Knoxville, Phi Delta Theta
Foundation, and various other civic activities. He served as the president
of the Great Smoky Mountain Boy Scout Council and is a Silver Beaver
Recipient. His skill as an auctioneer is eagerly sought after for civic
organization fundraising events. He has donated countless hours to
many charitable organizations.
Furrow and his wife, Ann, live in Knoxville.
