2022 Alumni Service Award Winner

Tim Sellers is a Founding Partner and the Director of Operations and Client Development for inferno, an innovative creative marketing agency. Inferno is a full-service agency supporting international brands such as FedEx, International Paper, ATEC Spine, and Transnetyx. Sellers has assisted in the firm growing to the third largest in Memphis. Devoted to keeping clients current, inferno introduces contemporary ideas into the workplace. The agency’s philanthropic mission, called Fuelanthropic, hit a $2.25 million donation milestone and earned recognition from the city of Memphis mayor and Shelby County mayor. Fuelanthropic gives back to the community through pro bono work, encouraging donations, and granting employees a week to spend doing volunteer work.

A 1988 graduate of UT’s College of Communication and Information (CCI), Sellers’ degree concentrated in advertising. His resume cannot capture how he has devoted his own professional achievement to serving others. In addition to his role with inferno, Sellers is on the CCI Board of Visitors and has generously invested in the college’s enrichment fund. Sellers has been a board member for the American Advertising Federation for Memphis, as well as serving on several community service boards including CASA and Eikon Ministries.

The AAFM named Sellers both CEO and Ad Man of the Year. The Memphis Business Journal also recognized him on its Top 40 under 40 list.
