UT Retirees Council
The University of Tennessee Retirees Council (UTRC) enhances opportunities for former UT employees and their spouses to continue their association with the university and colleagues in ways that reflect the continuing value to the university and the considerable expertise of its retirees and former employees. Membership in the UTRC is automatic for all.
Mission
The mission of the UTRC is to extend retirees meaningful opportunities to learn about, enrich, and advance the institution which they helped to shape. This organization supersedes, enhances, and expands the purposes and vision of the previous UT Retirees Association, as an association of mutual respect and cooperation with the UT Knoxville Office of Alumni Relations.

Volunteer Opportunities
Are you looking for an opportunity to contribute your time and talent to serve the university? The UTRC invites retirees to spend a few hours volunteering on campus to serve students and provide support to UT departments and units in need of support. FAQ
If you are 55 and have ten years of service at UT, you may apply through Retirement Services for a verification form to continue use the use of your NetID or email services.
With your retiree’s identification card, you can use the services of the library. You can also access information through the library website with your email NetID.
An emeritus tag is available for retirees who have 15 years of service. It is available at Parking Services with your retiree identification card. This tag allows for parking in nonrestricted spaces/lots for infrequent trips to campus; it is not intended for frequent parking. You may purchase a regular tag if you are on campus regularly. If you are on the payroll after retiring, you need to turn in your emeritus tag and purchase a regular parking tag.
No, it does not. You will need to purchase a special pass to park for football and basketball games. As well, plays and special events do not honor the retiree parking hangtag.
For retirees with 10 years of full time service, you may take up to 9 credit hours (undergraduate or graduate) with a fee waiver per term. With 10 years of regular part time service, classes are on a pro-rata basis. With 30 years of service, you may audit classes free. Contact 865-974-4709 for more information.

The card was issued by the UT Medical Center several years ago, but is no longer available. However, if you have one, the Medical Center does honor it.
