2018 Alumni Service Award Winner

Since earning a BS in electrical engineering from the Tickle College of Engineering in 1970 and an MBA from the Haslam College of Business in 1975, Ralph Heath has continued his support and advocacy for both programs.

Recently, Heath retired as president of Lockheed Martin. During his 37-year career, he held a variety of positions in engineering, logistics, program management, and
business development.

His service to the University of Tennessee in leadership positions includes: member of the Haslam College Dean’s Advisory Council, the UT Aerospace and Defense Advisory Board, and the Tickle College Board of Advisors. Heath was an integral part of developing the Integrated Business and Engineering Program, which prepares students for careers that demand knowledge in both areas, and has since been named the Heath Integrated Business and Engineering Program.

Heath received the 2011 UT Professional Achievement Award for his dedication and leadership at Lockheed Martin.
