Rachel Hurt, a 2007 graduate of the College of Law, is a partner at Arnett, Draper & Hagood LLP in Knoxville.
Hurt clerked with the Tennessee Supreme Court before beginning her career at the firm in 2009. She was invited to become a partner in 2016. She has also served as an adjunct professor at the College of Law.
Hurt was elected president of the Knoxville Barristers (Knoxville Bar Association’s Young Lawyer Division) and was chosen to participate in the Tennessee Bar Association Law Leadership program. She was selected by Super Lawyers Mid-South as a rising star from 2013 to 2019 and as one of Cityview magazine’s Top Lawyers from 2015 to 2019. She is a member of the Tennessee Bar Association and the Knoxville Bar Association, for which she also serves on the board of directors.
She has also served as a board member of MEDIC Regional Blood Center, on the Tennessee Commission of Continuing Legal Education and Specialization, and on the East Tennessee Children’s Hospital Butterfly Dash and Bash Committee.
