Molly Adams, Executive Vice President of Global Product Development for Disney Consumer Products (DCP), received her award before speaking at an MBA Women’s luncheon on campus. A variety of notable alumni have received this special award recognizing success and distinction, including CEOs of major corporations, Olympians, authors, artists, musicians, US ambassadors, and civic leaders.
Adams is a 10 year plus veteran at Disney Consumer Products (DCP), a business segment of The Walt Disney Company that delivers innovative and engaging product experiences across more than 200 categories. Here, she leads a team of global employees who bring stories to life spanning all four powerhouse brands: Disney, Pixar, Marvel and Star Wars. She and her team are focused on key priorities that include product quality, creativity, innovation and driving overall financial results.
In this role, Adams brings more than 20 years of retail and product experience to her organization that includes a centralized, integrated product development team that supports DCP’s licensed and vertical retail business models, including Disney Store, DisneyStore.com, and Franchise Licensing & Commercialization in North America.
Prior to this, Adams spent five years as part of the Disney Store leadership team, serving as executive vice president, Global Product Development and senior vice president, Disney Store North America. She and this leadership team successfully integrated Disney Store back into The Walt Disney Company after being sold four years earlier, re-establishing the ailing division’s position across the retail landscape, resulting in better than expected revenues.
