Making Volunteer Magic

Category: News

How can you bottle what it feels like to sing “Rocky Top”? How can you capture big orange energy?

It’s a tall order – one that Graphic Creations delivers every day.

Our proud printing partner has been rooted in the Volunteer spirit since 1987. When its doors first opened, the shop sold professor course packets to UT students next to campus. Today, Graphic Creations not only handles printing needs for businesses and local events but has expanded into a full-scale marketing and branding company, focused on intentional design and printed pieces that impact our community with a purpose. Just like their mission statement promises, Graphic Creations does whatever it takes for clients, employees, the community, and the Volunteer family.

Often times, these priorities overlap. President Jim Caughorn Jr. and many others in the Graphic Creations family are UT alumni. This homegrown pride for Knoxville and the Volunteers led the company in 2020 to became an official corporate partner of UT Knoxville Alumni and UT Athletics, as well as a proud vendor of the Vol Network.

“In our experience, Graphic Creations delivers the ultimate game plan,” said Brandon Parks, Associate General Manager at The Vol Network. “Jim and his team do a tremendous job assisting us with numerous projects year after year. Quality People. Impeccable Service. And Premier Printing. They represent the true Volunteer Spirit.”

This was never more obvious than last year when the world came to a halt, and Graphic Creations got to work. With love and humor, our corporate partner created crowd cut-outs for football, baseball, and basketball games, as well as alumni events. When we couldn’t fill campus with Volunteers, Graphic Creations made it feel as close to home as possible. This year, for Neyland Staduium’s 100th birthday, the company helped bring the legacy to life on campus for the first home football game.

It’s all a part of creating that Volunteer magic that makes Rocky Top feel like home sweet home.
