Jim Gray (’82) is a board certified radiation oncologist who received his medical degree from Vanderbilt University. He performed his residency through Memorial Sloan-Kettering in New York. But he credits his time as a Biomedical Engineering student at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, where he earned his B.S. in 1982 for being the catalyst of his success.
Jim now leads a team of Radiation Oncologists at Sarah Cannon Cancer Center in Nashville and is a leading authority on the Cyberknife method of cancer treatment. Jim’s other specialty includes prostate seed implants. He holds professional memberships in the American Society of Radiation Oncology (ASTRO) and the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO).
