Jason Paul Houser, a native of Parkersburg, West Virginia, is a seasoned national security and public policy professional with extensive experience in both civilian government and military service. Most recently, he served as Chief of Staff for US Immigration & Customs Enforcement (ICE) from 2021 to 2023. His distinguished career in public service includes leadership roles at the US Department of Homeland Security (DHS), where he served as Assistant Director of Legislative Affairs, Deputy Chief of Staff, and later as a Senior Advisor to the Commissioner of Customs & Border Protection (CBP).

A US Naval Reserve Officer, Houser was recalled to active duty in 2015 and deployed as an Intelligence Officer supporting Afghan forces. He later served as a Foreign Engagement Officer at US Cyber Command, managing partnerships with European allies and Israel. Jason earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Tennessee and holds a master’s in public policy from George Mason University. He is also a graduate of the 2013 Harvard Kennedy School National Security Program and Executive Fellows Program.
