With more than 28 years of experience in the tourism and marketing industry, Dixon serves as president and CEO of NYC & Company, the official marketing and tourism organization for the City of New York. He is responsible for the critical development of tourism and convention strategies internationally for the Big Apple. Under his leadership, New York City saw an astonishing 68 percent increase in international visitation and spending.

Dixon previously served as executive vice president for market development for NYC & Company and in key positions at the Nashville Convention and Visitors Bureau, Planet Hollywood International, Group Sales Box Office, The Biltmore Company, the Gatlinburg Convention & Visitors Bureau, and Delta Airlines.

Dixon is a valued leader in his field, serving as New York City’s appointment to the board of the Jacob K. Javits Center Operating Corporation, on the US Department of Commerce’s Travel and Tourism Advisory Board, the US Travel Association Board of Directors, and on various committees with the National Tour Association, Tourism Cares, and Student & Youth Travel Association.
