Brigadier General (RET) David E. Greer graduated from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville in 1972 and was commissioned as a 2LT in the Field Artillery Corps.
BG Greer, after his initial active duty service with the 2nd Armored Division at Ft. Hood, Texas, transitioned to the United States Army Reserve. He served in various command and staff positions within the 30th Separate Armored Brigade, Memphis, Tennessee. BG Greer’s culminating assignment was Land Component Commander/Assistant Adjutant General, Tennessee Military Department, Nashville, Tennessee (2002-05).
BG Greer served as past President of the National Guard Association of Tennessee and is a past member of the National Guard Association of the United States Board of Directors.
BG Greer currently serves as the Executive Director of the American Foundation for Relief and Reconciliation in the Middle East.
