Adrienne Roberson (’97) is breaking barriers as the first female PA announcer in history of the Major League Baseball franchise.
At a young age, she found her passion of sports by joining her Dad at Phillies or Eagles games. Once Roberson made her way to UT, her path was clear—become a PA announcer.
A hard worker, she hosted a sports show on WUTK, and announced with the Tennessee Smokies her sophomore year. These opportunities showed how driven and bright the young student was. She consistently asked for chances to announce for various Vol sports teams and was rewarded when this experience led her to the Orioles.
Her dreams came true when she got the job with the Orioles. Now, Roberson is one of four women in MLB, breaking barriers for all.
