A 2013 graduate of the College of Arts and Sciences with a major in political science, Aron Beierschmitt started his own company, Foundation Games, as a 19-year-old undergraduate. Foundation Games released six titles on the Apple App Store and Google Play. One of these, Lumi, was named Apple Game of the Week and Editor’s Choice in 2012. Before Beierschmitt had even graduated, Foundation had 27 full-time employees based in the United States, Australia, and the Philippines.

Beierschmitt shut down Foundation in 2014 and became co-founder of AxS Health, a venture building a postoperative telemedicine platform for orthopedic providers. In 2017, he joined First Foundry, a West Coast venture development firm, as a partner.

At First Foundry, Beierschmitt’s primary role has been supporting the portfolio startup Beyond Games. In late 2018, he was asked by the board of directors to step into the role of CEO. Beyond Games is now on the eve of globally launching its first title mobile MMO, Battle Strike Force, with Sylvester Stallone.

Beierschmitt has given generously of his time and energy in support of various activities of the Anderson Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation in the Haslam College of Business. He has been a guest panelist in the Introduction to Entrepreneurship class and an entrepreneur guest speaker in the New Venture Creation class. He also has shared his experience with the Collegiate Entrepreneurs Organization and has mentored students both before and after graduation.

He continues to support Haslam College of Business’s entrepreneurial activities by judging the Boyd Venture Fund Competition and serving as a panelist at other events.
