The UT alumni family stretches from Rocky Top to over 140 countries, standing more than 268,000 strong. We’re Vols for life, and our alumni chapters are integral to that bond.

There are currently 59 active alumni chapters and area representatives, and each of the chapters offers an endowed scholarship to students from its geographic area. Chapter members raise funds through events and activities to help young Volunteers make their mark on Rocky Top.

“ This scholarship truly opened doors for me. It took that much stress off of my shoulders to pursue my education a little easier, all while connecting me to amazing alumni and peers. – Hayden Bitner (’24)

This academic year, 70 students received chapter scholarships and the alumni scholarship program awarded over $150 thousand dollars.

“I am happy to pay it forward by supporting UT students through our scholarship endowment because I know the generosity of others helped me get to where I am today. The investments others made, whether it was a financial gift or mentorship, have inspired me to bee there for my fellow Vols,” said Nashville UT Alumni Chapter President Courtney Vick (’12). “When we all are able to give, it adds up to something much greater and inspires the next generation of leaders to pay it forward.”

Hayden Bitner (’24) of Aurora, Colorado, said, “This scholarship truly opened doors for me. It took that much stress off of my shoulders to pursue my education a little easier, all while connecting me to amazing alumni and peers.”
