Lieutenant Colonel (RET) Allen B. West graduated from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville in 1983 and was commissioned as a 2LT in the Artillery Corps.
LTC West served in command and staff positions of increasing responsibility. In 1993, he was named the Army ROTC Instructor of the Year while serving in the Kansas State University Army ROTC Department. His culminating assignment was as Commander, 2nd Battalion, 20th Field Regiment, 4th Infantry Division deployed in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom.
LTC West was elected to the US House of Representatives for Florida’s 22nd Congressional District in 2008. In 2015, he was named Executive Director & Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of the National Center of Policy Analysis. LTC West is a Fox News contributor and writes for numerous news outlets.
