Mr. Wilson graduated from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville in March 1980 and was commissioned as an Ordnance Corps second lieutenant. After a successful company command and serving as an instructor at the Ordnance School, Mr. Wilson departed active duty in 1985.
Mr. Wilson, in his civilian career, rose to the position of President, Chairman, and Chief Executive Officer of McCormick and Co, a world-wide leader of spices, seasonings, and flavors. Under his leadership, sales grew by over 50% to reach $4.2 billion in annual sales and increased market value by almost three times. He currently serves on the board of WestRock Corporation and the T. Rowe Price Group.
Mr. Wilson served as the inaugural president of the UT Knoxville Alumni Board of Directors. He is also a member of the University of Tennessee’s 100 Distinguished Alumni. Mr. Wilson has supported UT throughout his career. He and his wife have given major gifts to the Center for Career Development, the College of Communication and Information, the Haslam College of Business, and the Debby Schriver Endowment for Student Orientation.
Mr. Wilson, and his wife, Wendy, reside in Naples, Florida.
