Calling all Vols home!

November 3–4, 2017

Did you ever think you would see the 101st Homecoming at UT? Come join us for a celebration of all things Vols and Rocky Top! Colleges will tailgate, friends will gather, Europa and the Bull fountain will be dyed orange, and the Little Vols will march in the parade. Come home and enjoy reliving so many memories and make some new ones.

The grand finale of Homecoming week will be the Vols vs. the Southern Miss Golden Eagles. Go Vols!

Monday, October 30

Dyeing Europa and the Bull Fountain

Monday, October 30 | 2:00 p.m.
Join the Student Alumni Associates and the Homecoming Committee as we dye the Europa and the Bull fountain at McClung Tower Plaza orange for Homecoming week! It's a great way to start the week orange and end on Big Orange Friday and Homecoming weekend! Be sure and go by the fountain at Homecoming to enjoy the beautiful orange dyed water.

The Parade — Don't Miss It!

Friday, November 3 | 4:00 p.m.
For the first time in 30 years, UT’s Homecoming Parade route will return to Cumberland Avenue. Here's more information on the new route. Our Little Vols will march in the parade in their orange and white on tricycles, in wagons, in strollers, and on foot. Arrive early for the best viewing spots!

Little Vols in the Homecoming Parade (8th Annual)

Friday, November 3 | 3:30 p.m. Line-up | 4:00 p.m. Parade
Cost: Admission is $5 per family and will benefit the UTK General Scholarship Fund (includes Little Vols at the Ball Park)
Dress up your Little Vols (10 and under) in their orange and white and march in the parade! Little Vols can ride on decorated tricycles or four-wheel vehicles. Little ones can also walk or be pushed in strollers (decorate them like a float!), but no bicycles or motorized vehicles, please. Liability form required to participate in parade.

Little Vols at the Ball Park

Friday, November 3 | 5:00–6:00 p.m. (immediately following the parade)
Place: UT Lindsey Nelson Baseball Stadium and playground
Cost: Admission is $5 per family and will benefit the UTK General Scholarship Fund (includes Little Vols in the Homecoming Parade)
Snacks for the Little Vols, playground, fun, and crafts.

"Rocky Top" Exhibit Opening at Hodges Library

The exhibit will feature the original handwritten manuscript written by songwriters Felice and Boudleaux Bryant in 1967 at the Gatlinburg Inn. Our special guests for the evening are Del and Dane Bryant, sons of Felice and Boudleaux who have graciously loaned the manuscript, the guitar their father used to compose the song, and other memorabilia related to the greatest fight song in all of College Athletics!

McClung Museum First Friday Open House

Private viewing of objects in the museum’s collection not currently on display. Co-sponsored by the UT Geography Department. Staff from the museum and Geography will be on hand to answer questions and provide information about the objects in the collection.

McClung Museum Homecoming Celebration

A Homecoming celebration with the Tennessee State Artifact and his recently acquired female counterpart. Stop in and enjoy punch and cake in the museum lobby while viewing these amazing statues. Museum staff on hand to make brief remarks and answer questions.

The UT Singers have been recognized by the State General Assembly as "Tennessee's Musical Ambassadors." This is a contemporary a cappella concert and admission is free.

Saturday, November 4

Party in the Park—*Homecoming signature event*

Party in the Park will be partnering again with the offices of Admissions and Family Engagement. Alumni, friends, family, prospective Vols, and parents will all be in attendance. Join us and share your story with these prospective Vols. Help us recruit new Vols to the Volunteer family!

Enjoy live entertainment, the pep band, cheerleaders, music, door prizes, face painting, balloon art, and much more! There will also be a Kid’s Corner with games and lots of family activities. A BBQ with all the fixins will be served. To eat, reservations and fee are required. **Food services ends one hour before kickoff**

A signature Homecoming event hosted by the Black Cultural Programming Committee. An opportunity for the UT student body, alumni, and the Knoxville community to enjoy high-energy stepping performances by the National Pan-Hellenic Council fraternities and sororities.

Football Tickets

Available to those who register for a Homecoming event (those requiring registration only). Information on football tickets will be sent to registrants through a confirmation email after event registration is complete. Tickets are limited to the number registered. Seats are available for a special price for Homecoming of $30 + fees per seat in the south end zone upper deck. Ticket window will be available beginning August 1 and close two weeks before Homecoming on October 24.

Gameday Information

Visit utsports.com for information on the Vol Walk (two hours and fifteen minutes before kickoff), band march to the stadium, and other wonderful gameday traditions such as the Tennessee Walking Horse in the stadium before the game! The game day information will be updated each week during the fall and will list all Homecoming activities for November 4 closer to the game.
