STUDENT ALUMNI ASSOCIATES
Since its founding in 1971, SAA has been dedicated to serving past university students, our alumni. Through various activities, students interact with alumni. All in all, the interaction shared between alumni and SAA members is beneficial and enjoyed by both groups. Alumni have the opportunity to stay informed with campus news. Students, in return, are awarded the chance to gain firsthand knowledge about the responsibilities of university alumni. Frequent interaction with alumni allows students to develop a deeper appreciation for the university as they listen to former students brag about their favorite institution, the University of Tennessee.
By working with and for their peers, SAA services present students. There are several activities that link students of the past and present together. It is extremely important to unite these two groups so that each can benefit from the other’s knowledge, enthusiasm, and interest in their university and community.
SAA members serve the interests of future students as well. SAA accomplishes this through official university functions with high school students or throughout various community service projects.
Student Alumni Associates plan, organize, execute, and assist many annual activities that enrich the lives of past, present, and future university students.

The UT Student Alumni Associates want to help you surprise your special UT student. We will deliver a Big Orange cake/cookie (for a birthday or other special day) to your student's dorm room, personalized with your student's name.
