RECRUITMENT ACTIVITIES
VAN members participate in a variety of recruitment activities, including:
- Host recruitment parties in their local areas.
- Staff college nights and National College Fairs in selected in-state and out of state areas.
- Clip newspaper articles recognizing local student achievers.
- Bring outstanding students to the attention of the Office of Undergraduate Admissions using the “Friends of the University” form
- Encourage prospective students to visit the UT campus by directing them online to www.visit.utk.edu
Receptions are hosted by alumni across the state of Tennessee to recruit top students and other targeted groups from area high schools. Generally, these receptions are held in the homes of alumni or friends of the university or at community centers.
