What do we have scheduled for UT Alumni during this year's Homecoming festivities? Consult the list below for information on parades, reunions, gatherings, and more.
FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 7
The Parade – 4PM
The Homecoming parade begins at the Rock and travels east on Volunteer Boulevard. The 2008 UT Olympians will be featured this year as the parade Grand Marshals. Arrive early for the best viewing spots. Join us for Smokey’s Howl following the parade and the crowning of our 2008 Homecoming Queen.
Strong Hall Reunion – 6PM
Join former Strong Hall residents for a reception in Sophie’s Dining Hall, as well as a tour of this campus landmark. Following the reception there will be a short program and descendants of Sophronia Strong in attendance will be recognized. Don’t miss this final opportunity to see Strong as you remember it.

Daily Beacon/Orange and White Reunion – 6:30PM
If you remember manual typewriters, Lake Avenue, the Circle Park computer era, or the pre-Beacon Orange and White days, plan to attend this first ever reunion of editorial, advertising, and production staffs of America’s best college newspaper at Barley’s in the Old City. Honoroing Art Stowers – 7PM
Dinner honoring Dr. Arthur B. Stowers, Jr. at Baker Peters Jazz Club, Kingston Pike (wrestlers only). At 8P.M. there will be a reception open to the public. Party in the Park – 9A.M. – 12Noon
Enjoy live entertainment, cheerleaders, magician, door prizes, face painting, balloon artist, breakfast, and much more. 2008 UTK Olympians will be honored at homecoming and will be available for pictures and autographs at Party in the Park.
UT vs Wyoming – 1PM
Honoring our Leaders and Legends – 9PM
Our Black Alumni Reunion at The Broker of Knoxville will honor African-American alumni who were the first to be accepted into the university.
