BOARD OF DIRECTORS
The Alumni Board of Directors will be established in the spring of 2009. It will be made up of UT alumni from various walks of life and will be representative of the university’s alumni population. What they will all have in common is a desire to support their institution and move it forward, in conjunction with the Chancellor and other campus leadership.
The inaugural class of the Alumni Board of Directors will have the opportunity to listen to the concerns and issues that face the university and its alumni operations and to provide feedback and information to help the institution move forward.
Priorities of the Board of Directors will include but are not limited to the following:
- Providing insight and feedback to the leadership of the alumni operation.
The Board of Directors shall provide ideas and direction to the alumni staff as they manage the daily operations of a complex organization. - Being a student of the university again.
Learn more about the University of Tennessee and its unique role in the state, region, nation and world. - Being an active advocate for the university and its programs.
Serving as opinion leaders in the various organizations and constituencies in various communities, board members will have the opportunity to share positive information about The University of Tennessee. - Support the strategic plan and mission of The University of Tennessee, Knoxville, and the Office of Alumni Affairs.
